Green Tea and Wagashi Delights in Tokyo

It is still cold but there is a hint of spring in the air. We had two couples at our tea ceremony workshop yesterday at Toritsu-daigaku.
One couple is from India and another from Italy. The tea bowls, utensils and the setup of the tea room had the theme of spring.
Some of the tea bowls had motifs of the girls festival “hinamatsuri”. They did amazing job in preparing matcha tea themselves although it was their first time doing so.
It was fun visiting Japanese sweets shop after the tea ceremony as it was decorated beautifully with cherry blossoms design.
