Our plan provided them a visit to a private tea room in Futako-tamagawa where they experienced a tea ceremony followed by a gourmet Japanese bento box. We were proud to welcome a group of guests from the US and Japan to our newly constructed tea house in Toritsudai yesterday. Crawling into the tea room through a tiny entrance space as well as sitting upright straight in Japanese way must have been a bit of a challenge for our foreign guests. However, we were very impressed by how they challenged it and succeeded with big smiles! We welcomed a group of Bolivians and their Japanese friends as our guests today. It was a wonderful gathering thanks to the sophisticated and cheerful ambiance they brought into the tea room. Our guests enjoyed today’s formal meal. They showed a keen interest in the ingredients and preparations so our chef explained the menu in detail. You could really see the true spirit of the tea ceremony in this interaction. We welcomed a wonderful couple from Indonesia this time. They love Japan and in fact this is their 5th visit here. They’ve left us a great feedback that this trip was one of their best. They thoroughly enjoyed the authentic style of the workshop which consists of Matcha, Cha-kaiseki and Sake. They even asked for a third round of matcha tea!
